The project requires participating energy storage systems to be equipped with smart inverters supporting real-time dispatch signals, enabling aggregated participation in grid frequency regulation and peak shaving . Initial operations showed that the VPP reduced peak load by 120MW during summer peak hours, with participating commercial users increasing their energy storage revenue by 18% through auxiliary services. This pilot sets a benchmark for grid-side storage's transition to multi-revenue models .
